What must my employer do if I become disabled? by Patricia Santucci

If you become disabled through injury or illness, your employer is required to inform you if group disability benefits are available to you. Your employer must also provide you with a copy of the group policy or the information booklet that is given out by the insurance company. Your employer must also assist you in applying for those benefits. (29)
